GUYS

If you are a Merlin fan, you should totally go check out danchekker's new story... and then (and this is even more awesome), you should head over to her DreamWidth, where she posted a "director's commentaries" of the piece, here and here, explaining how the story ended up the way it did. She has a fantastic, self-depcrecating sense of humor, and I think her commentary on herself is one of the best things I've ever read.

If I'm ever a Real Author -- or, at the least, publish something longer than a thousand words -- I'm going to do the same thing, I think.

Full disclosure: I've watched the first three or four episodes, but I still betaed the story -- cause, friends are friends and good writing is good writing, ya know? Anyways, it's a fantastic commentary that I'm still going through.

It definitely helps, though, that I know danchekker in Real Life, so I can hear her saying these things. Also, I can hear myself telling her relevantly similar things, and maybe that's a reason that we're friends?

Busy like a busy thing. :)

But good, really enjoying it and my classes are good. It helps that I've done super on my first tests, so I'm not like... super stressing. So. That's nice. xD How're things with you?

Busy, but not as bad as it once was! I'm happy, too, which is really good. I sorta think I have a handle on things now, so I've been trying to get back to my creative writing.

My FFXIII fic is on... hiatus. Whatever muse was motivating it has departed for the time being. However, I've started some original fantasy fic that I'm really happy with, so that's really good.
