And then the 10th Doctor and Neal Caffrey ran a con together. The end.

So my morning started off pretty good, seeing this clip of David Tennant in the upcoming Fright Night.

So that was good BUT THEN I saw the trailer for In Time and was all like "Holy Crap! Justin Timberlake actually doesn't look like a douche! Also: Matt Bomer and Cillian Murphy? And also also: SO MANY TIME PUNS. And general sexiness in a dystopian future predicated on the preservation of youth and beauty? Sure, that's fine, too."

But now for some "fanfic is serious business" time.

So I'm really enjoying my time-traveling fixit fic, but I keep running into this problem where the most recent thing I write is really good, far better in quality than what I wrote before. So I keep wanting to go back and rewrite the original parts. I've never been in this pickle before! Most of the things I have written have ended before getting over, say, 2000 words.

Heh, I run into that problem all the time. Here's what I usually do: Keep writing. Finish the writing part, and then once you've got it all hammered out, go back and edit the hell out of it.

What she says. God knows I end up doing exactly what you want to do... DON'T DO IT! By looking at the amount of Fanfiction I've actually completed, just take her word for it. Don't stop.

Justin Timberlake doesn't look like a doosch right? But it reminds me a lot of a bunch of other futuristic movies I've seen just like that one. I probably won't see it, but I will see the David Tennet one.

Actually, there is one reason I would probably recommend going back and re-writing something before you've finished the story - if you've written something that really contradicts what happens in the early part of the story. It happens that way, sometimes. I'd recommend going back and fixing continuity errors, but everything else, I'd recommend leaving until revision time.

Well good luck.

I know! I love my icons! The only reason I would upgrade my account would be to have more icon space... I love all of mine, but I want new ones...

I look forward to reading your fic.

Good luck! Editing is a rough, rough process.
